Alexis is a recent graduate from Carleton University where she majored in cognitive science and minored in neuroscience and mental health. She has a deep understanding of how the mind works as well as the different learning styles and the challenges they pose. As an elementary mathematics tutor she not only aims to help students understand their work, but gain an understanding of how they learn so they are successful at all levels of their education. Her approach is to create a safe and non-judgmental learning environment in order to help students reach their full potential in school.
